I took a couple of shots of a piece I was working on, because I thought these textures were kind of interesting. The photos make them even stranger.

Grungy textured paper

I wanted to create some paper that could be used as collage material for mountains. I crunched up paper then did some rubbing over concrete with white pastel chalk.

Storm clouds

I’m not great at prints, but once in a while I get lucky. These were made by smearing some kind of thin paint around on a piece of glass and pressing black construction paper onto it. They are very evocative of storm clouds, I think.
